If you’ve booked an in-home newborn session with a Lake Elsinore in-home newborn photographer, one of the first thoughts that usually pops up is:

“Wait… is my house clean enough?”

Take a breath, sweet mama. I promise — it does not need to look like a magazine.

For lifestyle newborn sessions in Lake Elsinore, Murrieta, Temecula, and Menifee, we typically use just three main spaces in your home:

1. The Nursery

This is where we’ll capture crib details, rocking chair snuggles, and those tiny-in-the-crib images.
You don’t need to redecorate. Simply:

• Clear off changing tables and nightstands
• Tuck away diaper boxes and extra wipes
• Open blinds to let in natural light

Soft, simple, and meaningful is always best.

2. The Primary Bedroom

Your bed often has the most beautiful window light. This is perfect for family snuggles and softly posed baby portraits.
Quick prep:

• Neutral bedding if possible (white, cream, soft tones photograph beautifully)
• Clear clutter from nightstands
• Smooth out comforters

It doesn’t need to be perfect — just calm and uncluttered.

3. A Living Room or Couch Area

This space is ideal for relaxed lifestyle moments with siblings.
Simply:

• Remove distracting items (remote controls, laundry baskets, bright toys)
• Open curtains for light
• Keep décor minimal

That’s it.

You don’t need a spotless house. You just need a few pockets of soft light and space to cuddle your baby.
