Your photos are finally here! 🎉
Once your gallery is delivered, you may be wondering, “Okay… how do I actually get these photos onto my phone or computer?”
Don’t worry — I’ve got you! Below is a quick step-by-step guide for downloading your images from your Kim Kuehn Photography gallery.
Tip: I recommend downloading your full gallery to a computer first and then backing it up somewhere safe. Your photos are precious, and I want you to have them for years to come! ❤️

1. Open Your Gallery
Click the gallery link I sent you in your email.
This will take you directly to your private photo gallery.
If your gallery requires a client code, enter the code included in your gallery email.
2. Look Through Your Photos
Take your time looking through your gallery and reliving all the moments! 🥰
If your gallery allows you to select favorites, you can click the heart ❤️ icon on any images you want to save as favorites.
3. Ready to Download?
When you’re ready to download your images, click FAVORITES at the top of your gallery.
If you have favorited all of the images you want to download, this is where you’ll be able to download them together.
If your gallery includes the full gallery for download, you can download all of your delivered images here.
4. Click “Download All”
Look for the Download All button and click it.
Your photos will be prepared as a ZIP file.
Don’t worry if it takes a little while — larger galleries can take several minutes to prepare.
5. Check Your Email
Once your download is ready, you’ll receive an email with your download link.
Look for an email with a subject similar to:
“Your gallery is ready!”
If you don’t see it right away, check your Spam, Junk, or Promotions folder.
6. Download Your Photos
Open the email and click Download Photos.
This will open a page where you can download your ZIP file to your computer.
What’s a ZIP file?
A ZIP file is simply a folder containing all of your photos that has been compressed into one convenient file.
Once it’s downloaded, you’ll need to extract or unzip the file before you can view the individual photos.
On most computers, you can simply double-click the ZIP file and your computer will create a folder containing your images.
7. Save Your Photos Somewhere Safe
Once you’ve downloaded and unzipped your photos, I highly recommend saving them in at least two places.
For example:
- Your computer
- An external hard drive
- Google Photos
- iCloud
- Dropbox
- Another cloud storage service
Your gallery is your way of accessing your images online, but you are responsible for keeping your downloaded images backed up once you’ve received them.
I always recommend having more than one backup!

Downloading to Your Phone?
You can download images to your phone as well, but for a full gallery, I recommend using a computer whenever possible.
Large galleries can contain a lot of high-resolution images, and downloading an entire gallery to your phone can take up quite a bit of storage.
If you just want a few images to share on Instagram or Facebook, downloading individual images to your phone may be easier.
A Few Helpful Tips
✨ Download your gallery sooner rather than later.
Don’t wait until six months from now when you’re looking for that one perfect family photo!
✨ Back up your images.
Please don’t rely on your online gallery as your only copy. Save your photos somewhere safe.
✨ Use the high-resolution files for printing.
If you’re ordering prints, albums, announcements, or other products, use the full-resolution images whenever possible.
✨ Want to share your photos?
Please feel free to share them with family and friends! And if you post them on social media, I’d absolutely love to be tagged so I can see them too. ❤️
Still Having Trouble?
If something isn’t working correctly with your gallery, don’t panic!
First, double-check that you’re using the correct gallery link and client code.
If you’re still having trouble downloading your images, send me a message and I’ll help you figure it out.
